This study was carried out to evaluate the degree of activation of some biochemical indicators of stress (urinary catecholamines and cortisol) in rotating shift operators of ceramic kilns and to compare the pattern of these parameters in relation to different shift schedules (shift schedule A consisted of 4 mornings, 4 afternoons and 4 nights, each shift followed by two days of rest; shift schedules B consisted of 1 morning, 1 afternoon and 1 night followed by two days of rest).
