Verso un archivio di conversazioni mediate da interprete: Il caso del corpus Analisi dell’interazione e della mediazione (AIM)

In this contribution, we illustrate a project called AIM (Analysis of Interaction and Mediation), which was undertaken at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia starting from the beginning of 2005 and leading to the collection of over 700 mediated encounters of which 600 in health care and the remaining ones in legal, school and business settings. We discuss problems concerning the data collection, the transcription and codification issues we tackled, particularly in reference to what type of research the data might allow for, and finally what it may take to make the data a sharable set.
