The spread of Covid-19 has caused an unprecedented health crises in recent history, an emergency that has quickly propagated its negative effects on the socio-economic dimension. The European Union, which was fully involved in the problems arising from the pandemic, found itself experiencing the second great recession since the establishment of the Euro, with Countries particularly affected by the epidemic and, at the same time, with a public finance framework that was distant from the one required by the Treaties: this project tries to analyse the european economic governance in light of the interventions that the continental institutions have so far implemented, assessing the criticalities arising from the reforms of the 2008-2012 period and examining the possible creation of instruments aimed at changing the financial and political set-up currently in force
La diffusione del Covid-19 ha ingenerato una crisi sanitaria senza precedenti nella storia recente, una situazione emergenziale che non ha tardato a propagare i propri effetti negativi sulla dimensione socio-economica. L’ Unione Europea, pienamente coinvolta nelle problematiche derivanti dalla pandemia, si è trovata così a vivere la seconda grande recessione dalla costituzione dell’Euro, presentando al suo interno Paesi particolarmente colpiti dall’epidemia e, al contempo, aventi un quadro di finanza pubblica ben distante da quello richiesto dai Trattati: il progetto in oggetto si propone di analizzare la struttura di Governance economica euro-unitaria alla luce degli interventi che le istituzionali continentali hanno fino ad ora implementando, valutando le criticità derivanti dalle riforme del periodo 2008-2012 ed esaminando la possibile creazione di strumenti destinati a mutare l’assetto finanziario, e politico, ad ora vigente
