Many infrastructures are available for distance learning from both Open Source and small start-ups or large multinationals. The problem of identity, personal data and content protection becomes extremely relevant in the case of infrastructure adoptions by large internazional companies. Even more critical is the case of adoption of social networks for communication between students, faculty and families. In this paper we present a proposal for a complete Open Source infrastructure for managing distance learning and hybrid learning processes starting from identity management, to the adoption of data and multimedia content storage environments, social networks dedicated to the school community, and systems for the production of multimedia and streaming educational content with special emphasis on the protection of personal data and identities

Abstract
Many infrastructures are available for distance learning from both Open Source and small start-ups or large multinationals. The problem of identity, personal data and content protection becomes extremely relevant in the case of infrastructure adoptions by large internazional companies. Even more critical is the case of adoption of social networks for communication between students, faculty and families. In this paper we present a proposal for a complete Open Source infrastructure for managing distance learning and hybrid learning processes starting from identity management, to the adoption of data and multimedia content storage environments, social networks dedicated to the school community, and systems for the production of multimedia and streaming educational content with special emphasis on the protection of personal data and identitiesPubblicazioni consigliate
