In this paper we propose a set of parallel interfaces that extends the sparse BLAS presented in [8] to distributed memory parallel machines with message passing programming interfaces. Our main target is the implementation of iterative methods with domain-decomposition based preconditioners in an effective and structured way, while keeping the benefits of the serial sparse BLAS. The structure of our framework has also been influenced by the dense PBLAS proposal
