Keratoconus is a bilateral thinning disorder of the cornea often associated with heterogeneous clinical conditions. Progression is marked by a slow deformation of the cornea the origin, pathogenesis and biochemistry of keratoconus are unknown, probabily because the histopathological features of this corneal disease may be related to a multifactorial etiology. The purpouse of this study was to evalue the histopathological findings in a large group of patients with different extraocular condition.
