EnglishThe chapter analyzes the structure of TV news items. Starting form a corpus of British TV news from different channels, the analysis focuses on the sequences of steps and the role of quotations and forms of reported speech, with a view to the nature of broadcast discourse, sharing features of both spoken and written language.
