In order to evaluate the performance of binary and quaternary PSK systems in the presence of intersymbol, interchannel and cochannel interferences and fadings, a procedure is illustrated and formulas are obtained.Numerical results of particular interest are given, pointing out the most suitable methods for reducing the interchannel interference effects; in quaternary systems these effects, together with those of cochannel interference, turn out to be slightly more notable than in binary systems.
