The optimum performance is determined for amplitude-phase correlation FM demodulators which exploit a particular aspect of the statistical dependence between the frequency and amplitude deviations produced by a white noise perturbing an FM wave. Besides, a report is given on the numerical results obtained with reference to typical working conditions.
