AbstractA picture of the research in Applied Linguistics in Italy can be derived from a survey of the activities carried out by the Italian Applied Linguistics Association (AItLA). To this purpose, the following pages present the activities of AItLA in the national, European and international framework, and provide information on the main research activities carried out within the context of AItLA, as well as on the means through which these activities are promoted and disseminated.
