The research was performed on Holstein Friesian high yielding dairy cows. The concentrate containing proteolysate (free amino acids and oligopeptides) was fed from the first days up to the 200th day of lactation. The trend of lactation curve was significantly and favourably affected by the treatment: a 7 days-advance of the peak of lactation and a greater persistence of the milk production.

Abstract

The research was performed on Holstein Friesian high yielding dairy cows. The concentrate containing proteolysate (free amino acids and oligopeptides) was fed from the first days up to the 200th day of lactation. The trend of lactation curve was significantly and favourably affected by the treatment: a 7 days-advance of the peak of lactation and a greater persistence of the milk production.
