Abstract
This work analyses the mathematical model of thermalexchange in presence of transitory subjected to unexpectedthermal shocks of indefinite duration. It investigates theindustrial feasibility of heat pipes heat exchanger in order toreduce the effects of thermal shocks in industrial exhausts inplants for cement production.Low cost recovered thermal energy could be dedicated toany necessary low temperature application. The solutions of theequations, which describe the problem, are obtained in ageneral form. They could so be easily extended to whicheverexchanger, on the base of the common, verified and validated, calculation parameters, which could be found in bibliography.A Matlab code has been produced to solve the problem. Ithas been validated thought CFD simulations using data ofthermal shocks produced by rotary kilns.Pubblicazioni consigliate
