The European Project EDEL “Enhanced driver’s perception in poor visibility" (www.edel-eu.org) is a three years project co funded by the European Commission INFSO within the initiatives of the 5th framework programme. The project is coordinated by Centro Ricerche Fiat and project partners are: Jaguar Cars Limited, Robert Bosch GmbH, Universität Karlsruhe (TH), Osram Opto Semiconductors GmbH & Co. OHG, Hella KG Hueck & Co., Università degli Studi di Genova DIBE and Università degli Studi di Siena, Communication Sciences Department. The project’s aim is to develop a fully integrated driver support system for night vision application based on newly developed technologies.
