Investigations on in vitro propagation ofwild Vaccinium myrtillus by means of buds proliferationhave been carried out using three different culturemedia, i.e., Anderson (A), Woody Plant Medium(WPM) and McCown (MC), and various concentrationsof two cytokinins, DL-dihydrozeatin (DHZ) and 6-g-g-(dimetilamino)-purine (2iP). Best bud developmentwas achieved on WPM and MC media, containing2iP. Elongated shoots were rooted in vitro on 0.49 μMindole-3-butyric acid-containing medium and thentransplanted on sterile peat, in order to acclimatize theplantlets before to move them to ex vitro conditions.
