This paper aims at drawing student's and writer's attention to the issue of linguistic sexism, with special regard to the Italian language. As there is still hesitation in choosing between masculine and feminine forms for titles when referring at women, I propose to make a distinction based on communicative situationm ie. official context vs everyday communication.
