The results indicate that, in the Italian heavy pig production, an increase of the feeding levelof entire females has no adverse effect on lean meat yield and detrmines an improvement of the ADG, especially during the period from 60 to 100 kg liveweight when HEF received the highest feeding level (+ 10%).
