Abstract
In this work, starting from a review of bias and stereotypes on the Mathematics, we underline the necessity to operate for the popularization of a better and more appropriate image of this discipline and we recall some enterprises undertaken in this sense by several communities of Mathematicians.Considering essential to this the role of the school we indicate the game as a catalyst of didactic activity and the mathematical recreation as one the most playful and attractive aspects of the discipline. We try to highlight how problems, today seen in the realm of the mathematical games, are linked with the origin of important topics in (branches of) Mathematics. In the paper, moreover, we give some examples of the didactical use of the game, both as a method and as a tool, and in particular we show how, through certain games, it is possible to lead the student to the acquisition, in the right proportion, of the pleasure and the attitude of the mathematicians.Pubblicazioni consigliate
