Perfectly matched anisotropic absorbers are introduced in two- and three-dimensional beam propagation methods. The anisotropic perfectly matched layer does not require the modification of Maxwell's equations, and can be easily implemented in codes which deal with anisotropic materials. Finite-element semivectorial and full-vectorial formulations have been considered to prove the efficiency of the proposed approach.

Abstract
Perfectly matched anisotropic absorbers are introduced in two- and three-dimensional beam propagation methods. The anisotropic perfectly matched layer does not require the modification of Maxwell's equations, and can be easily implemented in codes which deal with anisotropic materials. Finite-element semivectorial and full-vectorial formulations have been considered to prove the efficiency of the proposed approach.Pubblicazioni consigliate
