It is shown that the magnetic susceptibility of a molecule, at an arbitrary frequency of the external field, can be written as a sum of gauge-invariant atomic contributions. These can be interpreted as the magnetizabilities of the individual atoms within the molecule and, in the case of a static field, can be related to the additive Pascal constants.

Abstract
It is shown that the magnetic susceptibility of a molecule, at an arbitrary frequency of the external field, can be written as a sum of gauge-invariant atomic contributions. These can be interpreted as the magnetizabilities of the individual atoms within the molecule and, in the case of a static field, can be related to the additive Pascal constants.Pubblicazioni consigliate
