In a project to study the possibility of carrying out the in situ reintroduction of Italian orchids, we effected experimental tests to improve the in vitro asymbiotic germination of Serapias vomeracea subsp. laxiflora. When we obtained the plantlets, a method for the gradual acclimation of the plantlets grown in vitro to external conditions was established. In plants transferred in pots outdoors we found an endophyte in the cortex of roots, indicating a high naturalisation capacity of the the plants grown in aseptic conditions.

Abstract
In a project to study the possibility of carrying out the in situ reintroduction of Italian orchids, we effected experimental tests to improve the in vitro asymbiotic germination of Serapias vomeracea subsp. laxiflora. When we obtained the plantlets, a method for the gradual acclimation of the plantlets grown in vitro to external conditions was established. In plants transferred in pots outdoors we found an endophyte in the cortex of roots, indicating a high naturalisation capacity of the the plants grown in aseptic conditions.Pubblicazioni consigliate
