Abstract

Linearly time-varying fading models are used to investigate differential detection of PSK signals transmitted over frequency-flat fading channels. The structure of the optimal differential PSK detector is derived and an analytical technique is developed to compute its error performance, Results obtained by computer simulation are in excellent agreement with the analytical predictions.
