Abstract

The authors describe an exeresis technique far lung nodules of unknown nature by means of videothora- coscopy, as a valid alternative to a thoracotomy and lo achieve a precise diagnostic definition. In several cases, this approach also serves as definitive radical treatment in inflammatory lesions, benign tumours or, even, in isolated metastasis. The availability of preo- perative pressure with computerised tomography per- mits one to reach even deep nodules. The advanta- ges afforded by this minimally invasive approach, which is characterised by a fast postoperative reco- very, ore clear.
