This paper aims at the discussion of properties for ranking fuzzy numbers. An approachof axiomatic type is followed providing the de¯nition of two groups of requirementswhich characterize a ranking function through its behavior on triangular fuzzy numbers.Particularly, it has been deeply analyzed the problem of making the evaluations ontriangular fuzzy numbers sensitive to their degree of fuzziness.
