This article describes the process of developing and validating an Italian-language self-assessment questionnaire on environmental sustainability skills, designed for adults and based on the European GreenComp framework (European Commission, Joint Research Centre, 2022). The instrument, administered to a sample of 319 university students, underwent exploratory, confirmatory and reliability factor analyses, which supported a three-factor structure consistent with the theoretical reference model. The validated questionnaire may serve as a useful tool for the diagnostic, formative and summative assessment of perceived green competencies in adults and may provide guidance for the design of training programmes aimed at developing knowledge, skills and attitudes in the field of sustainability.

Abstract
This article describes the process of developing and validating an Italian-language self-assessment questionnaire on environmental sustainability skills, designed for adults and based on the European GreenComp framework (European Commission, Joint Research Centre, 2022). The instrument, administered to a sample of 319 university students, underwent exploratory, confirmatory and reliability factor analyses, which supported a three-factor structure consistent with the theoretical reference model. The validated questionnaire may serve as a useful tool for the diagnostic, formative and summative assessment of perceived green competencies in adults and may provide guidance for the design of training programmes aimed at developing knowledge, skills and attitudes in the field of sustainability.Pubblicazioni consigliate
