The contemporary museum is a privileged space for knowledge construction, fostering diversity and providing meaningful educational experiences, as highlighted in the ICOM declaration (Prague, 2022). The paper presents the PCTO Parol&Immaginiproject, carried out by 3classes from Liceo “Matilde di Canossa”(RE) between 2023 and 2024. Resulting from a collaboration between school, Civic Museums of Reggio Emilia, Regional Institute “Giuseppe Garibaldi”for the Blind, and Reggio Childhood Studies PhD program, the project aims to promote visual literacy, raise awareness of art, and enhance its accessibility in the museum context. Students have created tactile illustrated books inspired by museum artworks,intertwining children’s literature with museum education to explore new approaches to reading images.
