By focusing on Salò, o le 120 Giornate di Sodoma (1975), this article investigates the relationship between the actorial dimension and the reflections about society and power that Pasolini was developing right in those years. Thus, the analysis of the self-reflexive component discloses a specific politic attitude, showing at the same time the complex poetics of acting conceived by the director throughout the years.
