In this paper, a new frequency-division control for the energy management of parallel Hybrid Electric Vehicles is proposed. A simplified model of the considered parallel Hybrid Electric Vehicle is introduced, based on which the control problem is stated and solved using the proposed frequency-division control algorithm. Simulation results showing the operation of the proposed algorithm are finally given and discussed in detail.
