Promoted by the European Commission and by the Council of Europe, the Intercultural Cities project emerged in 2008 from the White Paper on Intercultural Dialogue. The project aimed to test in eleven selected cities the policies and the methodological tools that are linked to a new shared definition of intercultural City. This paper analyses the content and the results of this new approach.
