Estetiche del montaggio e regimi di credenza

The spread of digital technologies seems to develop the dichotomy between “sovereign montage” and “editing prohibited” towards either an “intermedial” or an “a-medial” authentication. By rethinking some classical passages of film theory, the paper addresses these two forms of mediation between world and image to question contemporary regimes of belief. The goal of this work is to outline the ways of construction of “discursive authorities” that orient contemporary media experience and define the possibilities for the spectator to believe both in the world and in the images representing it.

Con la diffusione delle tecnologie digitali, la dicotomia tra “montaggio sovrano” e “montaggio proibito” sembra svilupparsi in direzione di un’autenticazione “intermediale” o di una “amediale”. Rileggendo alcuni passaggi classici della teoria del cinema, il saggio affronta queste due forme di mediazione tra mondo e immagine per interrogare i regimi di credenza contemporanei. L’obiettivo è delineare le modalità di costruzione di “autorità discorsive” che orientano l’esperienza mediale contemporanea e definiscono la possibilità per lo spettatore di credere al mondo e alle immagini che lo rappresentano.
