Abstract
This study investigates the meaning of a particular expression found in Cicero’s speech De domo sua: pluribus de rebus uno sortitore legem ferre. After having considered the source in the context in which it appears and having recalled the principles regarding sortitio in the tribute legislative assemblies, the following conclusion is proposed: Clodius correctly presented two distinct rogationes, but afterwards he had the assembly express a single vote for both bills after having made a single draw to avoid, or at least limit as much as possible, that his rogatio was challenged for being satura.Pubblicazioni consigliate
