This paper deals with the application of the Generalized Differential Quadrature Method to the solution of the elastic static and dynamic analysis of isotropic straight meridian rotational shells. The governing equations of motions, in terms of stress resultants and couples, are those from a FSDT [1,2]. The above equations are first put into generalized displacements form and subsequently expanded in Fourier series with respect to the circumferential angle. The resulting equations put in terms of generalized displacements are solved by means of the G.D.Q.M. technique with favourable precision.

Questa memoria presenta l’applicazione numerica del G.D.Q.M. (Generalized Differential Quadrature Method) all’analisi statica e dinamica, di gusci di rotazione a meridiano rettilineo, costituiti da materiale elastico-lineare e isotropo. La teoria e le equazioni governanti il problema sono del tipo FSDT [1,2]. Per i casi studiati, l’impostazione e risoluzione del problema d’equilibrio, sono effettuate mediante espansione delle variabili cinematiche e statiche in serie armonica singola di Fourier, rispetto alla coordinata curvilinea longitudinale. Le equazioni di equilibrio in termini di componenti di movimento generalizzate, sono convenientemente risolte con la tecnica in argomento.
