In this debate, the historians Alfonso Botti from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Eduardo González Calleja from the Carlos III University of Madrid, and Teresa M. Ortega from the University of Granada, reflect on the rise of the new populist right. They explore its causes and especially its historical referents, while reflecting upon the cultural, political and historiographic responses that have been shaped in this regard.
