Abstract
Fibrous catalytic filters obtained from natural amorphous silica fibers (NASF) and NiO as catalyst were processed and characterized. The preparation processes to obtain nickel catalytic filters is simple and efficient. It consists on the reduction of nickel oxide to metallic nickel at 500°C. Results showed that it is possible to obtain fibrous filters from NASF with optimized properties (compressive strength in the 2-7 MPa range and Darcian permeability in the 2-4 x 10-12 m2 range) for a given application at high temperatures up to 1000°C.Pubblicazioni consigliate
