Addition complexes of zinc iodide with Schiff bases prepared from β-diketones and isopropylamine have been obtained. Molecular weights in benzene indicate that the compounds are monomeric and stable in solution. Mass spectrometry, variable temperature 1H-NMR and IR studies suggest that these adducts may adopt a tetrahedral trans structure. © 1979.

Abstract

Addition complexes of zinc iodide with Schiff bases prepared from β-diketones and isopropylamine have been obtained. Molecular weights in benzene indicate that the compounds are monomeric and stable in solution. Mass spectrometry, variable temperature 1H-NMR and IR studies suggest that these adducts may adopt a tetrahedral trans structure. © 1979.
