In the original Letter, a mistake was made in the calculation of the c-c production cross section s c-c = 288 ± 24 ± 7 μ b / nucleon in p He collisions at v s N N = 86.6 GeV . The D 0 cross section s D 0 = 156.0 ± 13.1 μ b / nucleon has been measured by adding K - p + and K + p - final states to account for both D 0 and-D 0 decays. The c-c cross section has then been obtained by dividing the measured D 0 cross section by the global fragmentation factor f ( c D 0 ) = 0.542 ± 0.024 , leading to s c-c = 288 ± 24 ± 7 μ b / nucleon , while it should have been divided by 2 ×f ( c D 0 ) , with the factor 2 accounting for the inclusion of both the K - p + and K + p - final states. Therefore, the quoted c-c production cross section should be s c-c = 144 ± 12 ± 4 μ b / nucleon instead of s c-c = 288 ± 24 ± 7 μ b / nucleon , as stated in the original Letter. We include here Fig. 2, which replaces Fig. 2 of the original Letter (only the right plot has been changed). (Figure Presented).
