Landscape, Geology and Wine on the Cesena hills, San Vittore area (Emilia-Romagna Region, Northern Italy). Modern viticulture can be considered as a form of agriculture system management that maximizes productivity while maintaining a sustainable approach. In particular, precision viticulture must be necessarily directed towards the understanding of the interactions between the vineyard and the environment, in order to obtain high quality grapes and wines. The Tenuta Colombarda Estate is an example of this management. It is placed on the fertile hills of Cesena (Emilia-Romagna Region), facing towards the Po plain and the Adriatic Sea. The Cesena landscape is dominated by estensive cultivation of vineyards (Romagna DOC), among these Sangiovese grape is the most important red variety followed by Pagadebit and Trebbiano grapes and Albana for white grapes varietes.
