This paper aims at presenting the Gender Legal Studies as a “consolidated practice” against gender stereotypes. After having identified six different stereotypes categorizing gender, it focuses on three related issues: the transnational and local dimension of Gender Legal Studies; the particular idea of law they promote; the “androgynous” approach in jurisprudence. Finally, a “practical example” is offered looking at Frame Law 6/2014 of Emilia-Romagna Region.
