Timing and modalities of relationships between the Aegean world and the eastern Po-Plain. A reassessment in the light of new pottery from Fondo Paviani (Legnago, Verona) - This paper presents a new group of wheelmade, levigated clay, ceramics which have been found at Fondo Paviani (Verona) during the last cycle of archaeological investigations. They can be partly compared to Mycenaean pottery, and enrich the panorama known for this site so far. Among these finds is a fragment possibly relevant to an anthropomorphic figurine. Some fragments of wheelmade fine ware pottery decorated with black and red painted bands have also been found, which invite comparisons with similar bichrome ceramics widespread in the Levant and Cyprus in the Late Bronze Age and Early Iron Age. The results of archaeometric analyses suggest a local production for all this pottery.

Abstract
The results of archaeometric analyses suggest a local production for all this pottery.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
