The paper focuses on the difficult development of the relationships between the Taizé Community and the National Council of the Reformed Church of France between 1953, when a dossier-Taizé is open in Paris, and 1958, when the National Synod closes the most difficult phase in the history of the relations between the ecumenical community and the leadership of the Reformed Church of France. A special attention is given to the iter of the demand for pastoral consecration of some brothers, paradigmatic of the questions raised to the Reformed ecclesiology by the constitution of new cenobitic communities. A good perspective of observation to follow the complex evolution of the relationships between the community of Roger Schutz and the different expressions of French-speaking Protestantism, this process allows seeing the different attitudes of the various Reformed Churches towards the new communitarian phenomenon as well as the operativeness of different conceptions of ecumenism.

Abstract
The paper focuses on the difficult development of the relationships between the Taizé Community and the National Council of the Reformed Church of France between 1953, when a dossier-Taizé is open in Paris, and 1958, when the National Synod closes the most difficult phase in the history of the relations between the ecumenical community and the leadership of the Reformed Church of France. A special attention is given to the iter of the demand for pastoral consecration of some brothers, paradigmatic of the questions raised to the Reformed ecclesiology by the constitution of new cenobitic communities. A good perspective of observation to follow the complex evolution of the relationships between the community of Roger Schutz and the different expressions of French-speaking Protestantism, this process allows seeing the different attitudes of the various Reformed Churches towards the new communitarian phenomenon as well as the operativeness of different conceptions of ecumenism.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
