The paper shows the process of construction and use of a multilingual Logistic Domain Ontology as a basis to guarantee language and format transformation of logistic documents created by a legacy system and sent to another legacy system, then making the two proprietary systems interoperate. This is one of the main outcomes from the KASSETTS project (www.kassetts.eu) whose ultimate aim is facilitating the collaboration between logistic actors such as user companies, carriers and logistic brokers.
