PROCESS: Promoting Cooperatives and Entrepreneurship through a South-South approach

the project presented has aimed to build a network that pro-motes social enterprise models in the regions of central and south america. the countries identifed are characterized by an unbalanced level of growth of the social system capacity. in the region, after having experienced successes but also difculties of development programmes over the past decades, the main is-sue was to confront the existing social problems specifc to latin america by implementing appropriate, efcient and sustainable processes. the creation of social enterprises has shown very ef-fective results because of the mix of personal involvement, ex-position to social reality, but also learning from experience that this kind of process brings to its local actors. general objective was to promote the social development of countries, through the creation of social enterprises as innovative tools of emancipation from poverty and unemployment, but also as means of partici-patory intervention on the needs and services required by the communities.
