Abstract

The yeast used prevents the lipid content from oxidation extending both the storage life of the feed and the efficiency of vitamin A. Palatability, digestibility, growth rate and feed efficiency are favoured by the presence of SCP in the diet. Extended storage of yeast (two years) reduces the biological and nutritional values, but it does not compromise the practicaL use of SCP.
