Abstract

This session explores non-traditional techniques to develop energy efficient radio transceivers. Ultra low power radios are one of the key enabling technologies necessary for ubiquitous untethered computing systems. As wireless circuits gain popularity it has become increasingly necessary to consider alternate architectures and designs that provide added systems benefits. Some of the applications that will be discussed in this session include sensor networks, medical imaging, cognitive radios and wireless LANs.
