This textbook deals with the applications of Geomorphology in environmental topics. In particular, the specific and sometimes distinctive role of Geomorphology in the study and solution of environmental problems is considered as an important aspect to be emphasized. Priority has been given to both methodology and illustrative case histories. The concepts outlined in the text are based on a subdivision of geomorphological resources and hazards, their links with Man and the consequent risk and impact problems.
