Organizations are spending more and more efforts (and financial resources) in developing proper systems (i.e. procedures, tools, IT platforms) to effectively manage knowledge flows within their activities. Virtual reality (VR) could represent a cutting hedge solution in helping organizations to develop effective knowledge management systems. In this paper, we will focus on how VR could play a relevant role in sustaining learning and knowledge management processes. In doing so, we will review extant literature on successful (and unsuccessful) VR applications, trying to explore the use of all potential VR applications for knowledge management issues in organizations. © 2006 Taylor & Francis Group.

Abstract
Organizations are spending more and more efforts (and financial resources) in developing proper systems (i.e. procedures, tools, IT platforms) to effectively manage knowledge flows within their activities. Virtual reality (VR) could represent a cutting hedge solution in helping organizations to develop effective knowledge management systems. In this paper, we will focus on how VR could play a relevant role in sustaining learning and knowledge management processes. In doing so, we will review extant literature on successful (and unsuccessful) VR applications, trying to explore the use of all potential VR applications for knowledge management issues in organizations. © 2006 Taylor & Francis Group.Pubblicazioni consigliate
