Dispersion properties of photonic crystal fibers are analyzed by introducing perturbations to the ideal cross-section geometry in order to investigate their performances as a function of the structural fluctuations which may occur during fabrication. Results and effects related to the variation of the dispersion parameter and the differential group delay are presented and discussed.

Abstract

Dispersion properties of photonic crystal fibers are analyzed by introducing perturbations to the ideal cross-section geometry in order to investigate their performances as a function of the structural fluctuations which may occur during fabrication. Results and effects related to the variation of the dispersion parameter and the differential group delay are presented and discussed.
