Hollow core photonic band gap fibers with a modified honeycomb lattice are investigated by a full vector complex modal solver based on the finite element method. Simulations show that confinement loss lower than 0.1 dB/Km and nonlinear coefficient lower than 5 10-3 (WKm)-1 can be obtained over S, C and L band of the third telecom window.

Abstract
