Phonetische Möglichkeiten varietätsadäquater Übertragung von Dialekt und Regiolekt bei der Synchronisation

Dialect and regiolect pose a particular challenge for translators and dubbing artists. Translated into standard German and spoken without accent, a dialectal or regionally colored way of speaking in dubbing not only appears unnatural, it may even "falsify" the communication intention: Above all, the factors emotionality and authenticity are modified or reduced. While voice as a sound medium primarily transports biological characteristics (age, gender, etc.), sociolinguistic characteristics are associated with the speech expression, e.g. national, regional, socio-cultural characteristics. If one assumes that a person reveals his or her personality when speaking and thereby achieves an effect in the recipient, the question of the authenticity of this effect arises in the case of dubbed films when the sound (the original voice) is separated from the original image and replaced by the dubbed voice. In addition to the question of phonetic possibilities of adapting the dubbing to suit the variety of the film, the crime series Il commissario Montalbano will be analyzed in this respect. In the German dubbed version a discrepancy between the original and the dubbing voice and speech is noticeable, which affects the perception of the viewer/listener. This is finally examined in a study based on two scenes from the crime series, each with the protagonist Luca Zingaretti, with regard to the effect of voice, way of speaking (speech expression and prosody) and with regard to gestures. The results obtained within the framework of the study described above show that Zingaretti's way of speaking in the dubbed version is imitated primarily by the parameter of accent accumulations, thus creating a kind of stereotypical way of speaking. This, however, often modifies the effect of the original. Furthermore, the way of speaking and body language often diverge, which also influences the parallel reception of image and sound and leads to significant differences in the perception of German viewers compared to Italian viewers.

Il dialetto e il regioletto rappresentano una sfida particolare per i traduttori e gli artisti del doppiaggio. Tradotto in tedesco standard e parlato senza accento, un modo di parlare dialettale o di colore regionale nel doppiaggio non solo appare innaturale, ma può anche "falsificare" l'intenzione di comunicazione: soprattutto, i fattori emotività e autenticità vengono modificati o ridotti. Mentre la voce come mezzo sonoro trasporta principalmente caratteristiche biologiche (età, sesso, ecc.), le caratteristiche sociolinguistiche sono associate all'espressione del parlato, ad esempio caratteristiche nazionali, regionali, socio-culturali. Se si parte dal presupposto che una persona rivela la sua personalità quando parla e quindi ottiene un effetto nel destinatario, la questione dell'autenticità di questo effetto si pone nel caso dei film doppiati quando il suono (la voce originale) viene separato dall'immagine originale e sostituito dalla voce doppiata. Oltre alla questione delle possibilità fonetiche di adattare il doppiaggio alla varietà del film, sarà analizzata in questo senso la serie poliziesca Il commissario Montalbano. Nella versione doppiata in tedesco si nota una discrepanza tra la voce e il parlato originale e il doppiaggio, che influisce sulla percezione dello spettatore/ascoltatore. Questo viene infine esaminato in uno studio basato su due scene della serie crime, ciascuna con il protagonista Luca Zingaretti, per quanto riguarda l'effetto della voce, il modo di parlare (espressione del discorso e prosodia) e la gestualità. I risultati ottenuti nell'ambito dello studio sopra descritto mostrano che il modo di parlare di Zingaretti nella versione doppiata è imitato principalmente dal parametro degli accumuli di accenti, creando così una sorta di stereotipo del modo di parlare. Questo, tuttavia, modifica spesso l'effetto dell'originale. Inoltre, il modo di parlare e il linguaggio del corpo spesso divergono, il che influenza anche la ricezione parallela dell'immagine e del suono e porta a differenze significative nella percezione degli spettatori tedeschi rispetto a quelli italiani.
