In 2014, the University Museums Italian Network, composed at that time of 12 universities and two important museums, presented a second project approved and funded by the Ministry of the Education University and Research dedicated to the guidance of the scientific method and culture (www.pomui.unimore.it). Through this project, the University Museums intend to reestablish relationships with the real and concrete objects of their collections, which have promoted the development of scientific research over time, in order to stimulate students’ interest in the scientific method by retracing the historical evolution of different disciplines from the 18th century. Some specific educational programs, together with the guid¬ance offices of the respective universities and with scholastic institutes and starting from the historical-sci¬entific and natural heritage of the network, are intended to promote integration with the territory and with scientific cultures, which continue to be in great distress in our country.
