We report on tapered inhibited coupling Kagome-fiber with a down-ratio as large as 2.4 while maintaining the hypocycloid-core shape. The insertion-loss of SMF spliced to tapered Kagomefiber was measured with minimum of 0.48dB at 1550nm.

Abstract

We report on tapered inhibited coupling Kagome-fiber with a down-ratio as large as 2.4 while maintaining the hypocycloid-core shape. The insertion-loss of SMF spliced to tapered Kagomefiber was measured with minimum of 0.48dB at 1550nm.
